Workshop on Data Visualisation and Dashboard Creation

A Workshop on Data Visualisation and Dashboard Creation was conducted by the ‘Department of Health Informatics & Analytics’, The Apollo University, Chittoor on 23^rd June 2023. Eminent professors from IIT Tirupati and Monash University, Australia addressed the students about the applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms to the participants. More than 200 students from various intuitions have participated in during the workshop with great enthusiasm to learn about the tools used for Data analysis of large data sets. Prof H. Vinod Bhat, Vice Chancellor, The Apollo University, emphasized the application and use of datasets in real world. Prof. Bhat expressed that everyday enormous data is being generated in the form of patient information, disease information and radiological information in healthcare sector especially at Apollo Hospitals. To cater the healthcare IT industry needs and produce skilled manpower in Artificial Intelligence and Data science in healthcare. The department is having collaborations with Microsoft incorporation, Central University of Hyderabad, Aurobindo Pharma, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston USA in academics, research and training. Dr. Y. Kalidas of IIT Tirupati emphasized the importance of applying the machine learning models in Electronics, Healthcare and Finance sectors. Prof. Chris Bain of Monash University, Australia addressed the students about the necessity digitalization and data visualization techniques in healthcare sectors. Prof. M. Potha Raju, Registrar, The Apollo University, Prof. R. Satyanarayana and Dr. G. Gopikrishna of the department were present during the workshop. Dr. G. Gopikrishna, convener of the workshop, trained the students in data visualization and dashboard creation using Python modules.
