Speaking about the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the two organisations earlier this month, Digital Health lead at Monash University’s Faculty of Information Technology Professor Chris Bain expressed his excitement regarding the numerous opportunities that the collaboration between The Apollo University and the Faculty will bring.
“This agreement is a first step towards sharing and developing more capabilities in the space of digital healthcare and delivery,” Professor Bain from Monash University said.

The School of Technology at Apollo University recently hosted an insightful Guest Lecture titled The Future of IT Industry and Ways to Succeed in Placement Interviews aimed at equipping Third-year B.Tech students with the essential knowledge and skills for a successful career in the IT sector. The event took place on 29th July, 2024 and featured a presentation by Mr. Pankaj Kumar Sinha, Manager, HR @Ebix Technologies Pvt. Ltd. a renowned expert in the field.

Taking inspiration from Greek drawings and the writings of Plutarch, The Apollo University, Chittoor, witnessed the kickoff of the torch relay in light of the anticipation building ahead of the Paris Olympics 2024. Captivating the long-standing Olympic traditions, the torch relay was organized to cheer for the Indian team representing the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.

In light of a 'Zero Tolerance Policy against Narcotics' guided by the Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, the NSS wing of The Apollo University Chittoor organized an awareness campaign on drug addiction and its prevention on 20th July 2024 at 2.00 PM in the university lecture hall including several programs. The one-day awareness program aimed to strengthen actions and invest in preventive measures to achieve a world free of drug use.
An Awareness Programme on Fire Safety Measures
In the present day scenario, where fire accidents are common, the increase in the necessity of knowing safety precautions are the need of the hour, The Apollo University Chittoor organised a mock-drill to create awareness on fire safety measures. The mock-drill was organised under the supervision of the security officer Mr. R. Parthasaradhi Reddy on 16. 07.2024 at 11:00 AM in the campus ground.
Say ‘NO’ to Sexual Harassment at Workplaces –An Awareness Programme on Prevention of Sexual Harassment @ The Apollo University Chittoor
An awareness programme on preventive measures for sexual awareness in the workplace was organized by the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), The Apollo University, Chittoor on Saturday, 13th July 2024 at 02.00 PM in Lecture Hall 4. The idea behind the birth of the awareness programme was in the light that a healthy working environment can only foster a productive workforce. The objective of the program was to promote gender amity among colleagues and ensure support services to prevent sexual harassment inside the university by understanding its preventive measures.
Career Guidance Programme
The Department of Psychology, The Apollo University students conducted a career guidance programme to Government Junior College Students at Penumuru on 10th July 2024. In a commendable initiative to empower the youth, B.Sc. III year Health Psychology students from Apollo University conducted a comprehensive career guidance programme for Intermediate students at Penumuru on 10th July 2024 under the supervision of Dr.Sudha P Student Affairs Co-Ordinator and Dr. Vijay M, Assistant Professor.
Apollo University Launches Career Counseling Cell to Empower Students

International Paramedic Day
The International Paramedic Day was celebrated on 08th July 2024 with great enthusiasm. Students from all eight programs of allied health sciences participated by giving PowerPoint presentations and video conferences. The Registrar Sir delivered an encouraging speech, motivating the students and highlighting the importance of their roles in healthcare. The event fostered a sense of unity and appreciation for the vital work of paramedics.

International Yoga Day at The Apollo University
Apollo University's NSS Units 1 and 2 successfully organized a special yoga program on June 21, 2024, to celebrate International Yoga Day. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff, guided by renowned yoga instructors. Various yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation techniques were practiced, with an emphasis on the importance of yoga for health and well-being. On the auspicious occasion of International EMT Day (27th May 2024), the Department of Allied Health Sciences – Students of Emergency Medical Technology with the Guidance of Ms. Anwesha Paul(Lecturer at EMT Program) orchestrated a grand celebration that not only paid homage to the indelible contributions of EMTs. The session commenced with a keynote address by Ms. Maheswari, a student, who captivated the audience with her insights into the “Future of the EMTs”.
Mock drill on Choking Management First aid
The 4th semester students of BSC. EMT Program conducted a Mockdrill on Choking First Aid on 24th May 2024 under the guidance of Ms. Anwesha Paul. The scenario involved a coworker suddenly choking while eating lunch in the break room. Employees nearby quickly recognized the signs of choking and called out for help. arrived on the scene and assessed the situation. The "choking victim" was unable to cough, speak or breathe.
CPR Mock Drill
The Fifth-semester students from the Department Of Allied Health Sciences, Emergency Medical Technology (EMT) Program conducted a CPR Mockdrill in Government Hospital, Chittoor on 23rd May, 2024 under the Guidance of Dr. Pavan Kumar Reddy, HOD of Emergency Medicine, AIMSR and Ms. Anwesha Paul, Lecturer at EMT, AHS. The session highlighted the crucial role CPR plays in increasing survival rates and empowered me to take action in critical situations for the common public.

One day Workshop on Generative AI and Big Data Analytics
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Apollo University’s School of Technology organized a workshop on May 8, 2024, to introduce intermediate students to Generative AI and Big Data Analytics. Aimed at guiding students in selecting B.Tech courses for their future careers, the event drew 200 students from Chittoor district and neighbouring areas. The workshop was inaugurated by Honourable Vice-Chancellor Prof. Vinod Bhat, who also delivered a keynote address, emphasizing the growing importance of AI skills.
Outreach Program at Akshara orphanage for Mentally Challenged Children
On 6th May 2024, NSS UNITS 1 AND 2 of The Apollo University successfully conducted an outreach program at Akshara orphanage for mentally challenged children at Nadimpally, Palamner. The NSS units, under the leadership of the NSS program officers, Dr. Jakeer and Mr. Ashok have collected funds from the university staff and students and donated food items, mats, groceries, toys and other stuff for the foundation. NSS volunteers have interacted with children and spent some quality time with them. The event was coordinated by the NSS Program coordinator, Dr. D. Shahanaz.

Apollo University Hosts a guest talk on Birds and Birdwatching Led by Birdman Karthik
"Vihangam" birds and birdwatching program (April 13, 2024) was organized by the Apollo University Photography, Trekking, Eco, and Social Responsibility Clubs. The program was led by renowned birdwatcher Birdman Karthik and was attended by around 200 students. Birdman Karthik discussed the importance of birds in the ecosystem, highlighting their role in seed dispersal, pollination, and insect control. He also spoke about the benefits of birdwatching, including its ability to improve mental and physical health, reduce stress, and connect people with nature.
