A Two-Day Workshop on Web Development

The Apollo University, in collaboration with the Computer Society of India (CSI), organised a comprehensive two-day workshop on web development, held on September 29th and 30th, 2023. Dr. N. Karthik, an esteemed Assistant Professor from NIT Puducherry, served as the workshop’s resource person. Under the guidance of the CSI Student Chapter at The Apollo University, the student coordinators demonstrated exceptional organisational skills, ensuring the seamless execution of the workshop. Day 1: The inaugural day featured a warm welcome extended to Dr. N. Karthik, Dr. Charupalli Sunil Kumar Dean, School of Technology, the CSI faculty coordinator, and the President of the Student Chapter. Deekshita, a second year CSE, AI & DS, one of the student coordinators introduced the resource person. Dr. Karthik’s session commenced at 10:30 AM, delving into the fundamentals of web development using HTML. The morning session concluded at 12:30 PM, followed by an afternoon session from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, which further explored web development basics Day 2: The second day of the workshop, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, focused on advanced aspects of web development, particularly HTML and CSS. Participants gained insights into the intricacies of building dynamic web pages and enhancing user interfaces. The workshop culminated with an expression of gratitude to the dedicated student coordinators. Dr. N. Karthik were also presented with the tokens of appreciation. The student coordinators received certificates to recognise their outstanding contributions to the success of the event. One of the notable highlights was the feedback shared by Sanya, a first-year student, who enthusiastically recounted her enriching experience during the workshop. This highly informative and hands-on workshop was made possible through the diligent coordination efforts of the CSI Student Chapter at The Apollo University.
