The Faculty Development Program on “Ensuring Quality Deliverance in Teaching & Assessment” was conducted for the newly inducted faculty members.
A comprehensive Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Ensuring Quality Deliverance in Teaching & Assessment” was held on October 28, 2024, to support the professional growth of newly inducted faculty members across various schools of The Apollo University. The program saw active participation from 23 faculty members representing multiple disciplines, underscoring the university’s commitment to excellence in teaching and holistic student development.
The program was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. H. Vinod Bhat, who emphasized the importance of instilling core values in students. In his keynote address, Dr. Bhat encouraged faculty members to prioritize ethical teaching practices and foster a supportive, value-based educational environment that empowers students to become responsible citizens.
Prof. A. Sethu, Head of the Department at School of Social Science & Controller of Examination, led the program, delivering insightful sessions focused on pedagogical innovation, effective classroom management, value-centered teaching approaches, and formative and summative assessment methods. Through interactive workshops and discussions, participants gained valuable strategies to enhance their teaching methodologies and align with the university’s mission of academic and moral excellence.
