One day Workshop on Generative AI and Big Data Analytics
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Apollo University’s School of Technology organized a workshop on May 8, 2024, to introduce intermediate students to Generative AI and Big Data Analytics. Aimed at guiding students in selecting B.Tech courses for their future careers, the event drew 200 students from Chittoor district and neighbouring areas.
The workshop was inaugurated by Honourable Vice-Chancellor Prof. Vinod Bhat, who also delivered a keynote address, emphasizing the growing importance of AI skills. This was followed by a welcome note from Dean of the School of Technology, Prof. C. Sunil Kumar.
Renowned AI expert Prof. Srikanth Prabhu from the Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal led the workshop, providing valuable insights into AI fundamentals and Big Data applications through interactive sessions and practical demonstrations.
The workshop was appreciated by university authorities, including Vice-Chancellor Prof. Vinod Bhat and Dean Prof. C. Sunil Kumar. The success of the event was attributed to the efforts of Program Coordinator, and Associate Professors Dr. G. B. Himabindu, Dr. T. Vivekanandan, Dr. D. Jagadeeshan, and Dr. Y. Sreeraman.
