Career Guidance Programme
The Department of Psychology, The Apollo University students conducted a career guidance programme to Government Junior College Students at Penumuru on 10th July 2024. In a commendable initiative to empower the youth, B.Sc. III year Health Psychology students from Apollo University conducted a comprehensive career guidance programme for Intermediate students at Penumuru on 10th July 2024 under the supervision of Dr.Sudha P Student Affairs Co-Ordinator and Dr. Vijay M, Assistant Professor. The programme aimed to provide valuable insights and guidance on various career options, motivating students to pursue higher education and informed career choices.
The event commenced with an introductory session on career guidance, highlighting the importance of informed career choices. Students gained Knowledge on various career paths, engaging in discussions and activities that provided practical insights into each field. The students were also asked to respond to the career choice questionnaire and instructed them about the scoring. Through this, the participants identified their job-fit domain. Facilitators from Apollo University shared their experiences and knowledge, offering valuable advice and answering questions from the students.
Many students expressed a newfound clarity about their future career paths and the steps needed to achieve their goals. The programme successfully created an environment of enthusiasm and motivation, encouraging students to explore diverse career opportunities. The feedback from the students was overwhelmingly positive. The session ended with a vote of thanks which was given by Dr. Sudha P and also Principal of Govt Junior College Mr. K. Bala Subramanyam Raju appreciated the students’ efforts.
