COURSE OVERVIEW
The B.Sc. Clinical Psychology (Hons.) programme at The Apollo University is a four-year undergraduate degree that provides students with extensive knowledge of psychology and practical experience working with patients in healthcare settings. This is an RCI-approved programme that meticulously integrates the study of theoretical concepts, research-based education, as well as hands-on job training.
This specialised degree programme broadly focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of a wide range of mental, psychological and emotional health-related problems. At The Apollo University, we equip students with the theoretical frameworks and practical methodologies which are required to understand psychopathology and provide evidence-based interventions in the four years of B.Sc. Clinical Psychology degree course.
As awareness about mental health is spreading rapidly, the need and demand for psychologists, counsellors and mental health professionals is growing at a massive rate. This programme aligns with the professional competencies required for future clinical psychologists in India. After four years, the student will get the Licensure under RCI Clinical Assistant (Clinical Psychology) with a separate category of CRR. These trained professionals may work for the government, private hospitals, mental health facilities or practice privately.
