First-Year B.Tech Students Secure National Recognition at “MindSprint–2025” Chittoor, December 16: Students of The Apollo University, Chittoor, delivered an outstanding performance at the 36-hour National-Level Hackathon “MindSprint–2025”, held at Potti Sriramulu Chalavadi Mallikarjuna Rao (PSCMR) College of Engineering and Technology, Vijayawada. Competing against participants from across the country, Apollo University students showcased exceptional innovation and technical excellence on a national platform. The hackathon was organized by Brainovision Solutions India Private Limited, in association with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Institution Innovation Council (IIC). The event witnessed participation from around 2,400 students representing 19 states across India. The Apollo University stood out as the only institution represented exclusively by first-year B.Tech students. Despite competing with senior and experienced participants, first-year B.Tech students from the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science program demonstrated remarkable competence and creativity at the national level. In the Biomedical domain, the student team’s innovative solution titled “Aarogyamitra”, an AI-driven digital healthcare application, secured First Prize at the national level. Additionally, considering all competition domains collectively, The Apollo University achieved an impressive overall sixth position nationally. The award-winning “Aarogyamitra” application has been designed with a strong social focus, aiming to strengthen healthcare access in rural and remote areas with limited medical facilities. The application operates on voice-based commands powered by artificial intelligence, supports multiple languages, and functions even in offline mode. By enabling early symptom analysis, basic injury assessment, and preliminary health indicator evaluation, the app facilitates timely linkage to appropriate medical services. Its practical relevance and innovation earned high appreciation from national-level experts and jury members. In recognition of its commitment to fostering student innovation and participation at the national level, The Apollo University received an Appreciation Certificate jointly awarded by Brainovision Solutions and AICTE. This honor highlights the University’s growing reputation as an institution that actively promotes innovation, entrepreneurship, and experiential learning. Congratulating the winning students, Dr. H. Vinod Bhat, Vice-Chancellor, and Prof. M. Potharaju, Registrar, stated that the achievement reflects the success of Apollo University’s innovation-centric curriculum, strong mentorship framework, and hands-on learning approach. They expressed confidence that such accomplishments would inspire other students to pursue research, innovation, and socially impactful solutions. The Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar also specially commended Dr. D. Jagadeesan, Dean, School of Management, and Dr. K.
