Dr.Kiran V as the Associate Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy, School of Health Sciences, TAU, on the 02nd May 2026.

Dr.Kiran V is Graduate and Post Graduate from Rajah Muthaiah Medical college and Hospital, Annamalai University and holds a Ph.D from Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University, Chennai. He has also obtained a Fellowship in Cardiac Rehabilitation from Medvarsity, Hyderabad,

Dr. Kiran V has over 22 years of experience in teaching, clinical practice, research, and academic administration in the field of Physiotherapy. He has successfully supervised more than 70 undergraduate and 30 postgraduate research projects, contributing significantly to student development and research advancement.Throughout his career, he has held several key academic and administrative positions, including Chief Physiotherapist, Chairman, and Member of the Board of Studies at various universities. He has also served as an External Examiner for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs across different universities. He has played an active role in the planning, development, and implementation of undergraduate and postgraduate Physiotherapy programs. His contributions to curriculum design, syllabus development, academic governance, and quality enhancement have supported the growth and advancement of Physiotherapy education at multiple institutions.

He is a Life Member of the Indian Association of Physiotherapy and has conducted several community-based rehabilitation programmes for the geriatric population.

He has published 20 articles in National and International Journals, and has 5 patents. He has written 02 books for physiotherapy Students. He has organized 05 Faculty Development Programs, more than 10 of Workshops. He has received best academicians award twice, and serves as an Advisory Board Member and reviewer in CBS Publishers & Distributors Pvt. Ltd., among other academic contributions.
