The Apollo University Strengthens Tech Infrastructure with Modern Computer Lab

Today marked a new chapter of advancement and learning with the inauguration of the new Computer Lab in the Dr. Prathap C. Reddy Knowledge Centre, dedicated to the School of Technology at The Apollo University. Designed innovatively and equipped with modern facilities, the lab is a significant step forward in enriching the academic infrastructure.
Dr. H. Vinod Bhat, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, officially cut the ribbon. Addressing the audience at the opening ceremony, he shared an inspiring message, wishing that the new lab becomes “a space of wonder, ideas, and creative empowerment, where the leaders of the future—our students—will be born.”
The lab is designed to nurture talent in critical computing, coding, research, and innovative projects. The inauguration was the leading light that motivates Universities and its Managements commitment to ensuring students have access to world-class learning resources.
Registrar, Prof. M. Potharaju, whose continuous support was instrumental throughout the journey from planning to infrastructure development, remarked that the lab is not just about hardware and software, but about equipping students with tools to create a better world and grow into confident, skilled professionals.
Several key academic leaders were present, highlighting The Apollo University’s unified commitment to excellence. Dr. D. Jagadeesan, Dean, School of Technology, emphasized the importance of striving for improved quality outcomes with every new initiative. Prof. Dr. K. Bhaskara Reddy, Dean, School of Health Sciences and Apollo Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Dr. Ramaiah Itumalla, Dean, School of Management, were also in attendance, demonstrating the spirit of collaboration and interdisciplinary focus that defines The Apollo University.
Mr. Kamatham Thiripal and Mr. S. Manohar will take the lead in operating the new lab and training students as programmers.
As the ribbon fell and the doors opened, The Apollo University reaffirmed its belief that knowledge is the pathway to progress and that every student holds the potential to become a leader and change the world. The event saw the enthusiastic presence of heads of departments, program coordinators, faculty members, deputy general managers, staff, students, and well-wishers, making it a truly memorable occasion.
