Adhyay 2025: The Apollo University Welcomes the Class of 2025–26
With a spirit of purpose and pride, The Apollo University hosted its much-awaited Induction Programme, Adhyay 2025, for the incoming Class of 2025–26 on 6th August 2025 at the Dr. Prathap C. Reddy Knowledge Centre Auditorium. Designed as more than just a welcome, Adhyay 2025 served as a launching pad for the students’ academic, personal, and professional journeys—an experience that marked the start of a transformational chapter in their lives.
The event commenced with traditional rituals—lighting of the lamp, prayer, and the rousing Apollo Anthem—setting a dignified tone for the morning. Following this, Dr. Himabindu G.B. delivered the Welcome Address, inviting students into a community defined by academic excellence, integrity, and innovation.
Dr. T. Vivekanandan, Associate Professor and Coordinator – Academic Affairs, shared insights into the objectives and structure of the induction programme, highlighting how it is designed to stand-in belonging, academic clarity, and purpose among the new students.
The Keynote Address by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. H. Vinod Bhat, was the cornerstone of the event. His speech carried not only wisdom but also a deep sense of pride and reflection. He expressed satisfaction over the significant strides made by the three-year-old university, stating that The Apollo University has done "reasonably well" in laying down a strong academic and administrative foundation. He emphasized that TAU has moved beyond establishing infrastructure—it has now positioned itself to actively pursue meaningful research collaborations and international academic partnerships by citing the example of the Centre for Digital Health and Precision Medicine in partnership with University of Leicester.
Dr. Bhat urged students to recognize that they are part of a growing, evolving institution that is striving for global standards. He reminded them that education must be more than acquiring knowledge—it must be about contributing to society, building character, and striving for excellence with empathy.
Prof. M. Potharaju, Registrar, served as Guest of Honour, and his presence, emphasized the role of self-discipline, consistency, and ownership in achieving academic success. His coordination of the event reminded the students that while university life offers freedom, it also demands responsibility.
The programme was further enriched by the presence of key academic and administrative leaders, whose attendance underscored the institutional importance of the occasion, Mr. Naresh Kumar Reddy, Chief Operating Officer, Prof. A. The ceremony concluded with the moments that sealed new friendships and the beginning of a shared academic journey and the induction programme is scheduled till 18th of August 2025 where the new batch will be introduced to the various systems, administrations, operations, processes, campus life, student support services of the university.
The word “Adhyay” means “chapter,” and indeed, this day marked the beginning of many. As students stepped out of the auditorium with hope, energy, and purpose, one thing was clear: they are not just part of a university—they are part of a growing legacy in the making.
