The show began with an upbeat dance routine that combined classical movements. The dancers communicated through their expressions, earned applause, and a lot of hoots for their brilliant synchronization, storytelling, and choreography.
Members of the Musical Instruments and Vocal Club presented the second performance, choosing an in-person performance that combined some stomping beats with soulful tunes. Then instruments represented in the hall, coordinating rhythms from delicate strings to stunning percussion, and it provided some great lift to the people present and demonstrated the breadth of musical talent in our student body. The audience did start to move away when vocal and sway to the emotional performance of vocal artistry when soulful voices harmonized beautifully, singing of hope, dreams, and peoples' efforts to come together. These moments amalgamated to give an impressive illustration of the creative energy that exists at Apollo University, which bodes well with our aspirations for cultural development program.
In turn, each club coordinator shared their aspirations, and outlined their exciting plans for the coming years. Together, these plans would fulfill the Arts and Cultural Club’s objective to enhance participants’ creativity and partnership in the arts to make culture a part of daily life on campus. The inauguration afternoon was not only a celebration to launch the official opening of the new clubs but a celebration of self-expression, the performance or the stage, friendship and cultural solidarity. It encouraged students to step out and dive into their passions, and to experience the warmth and community of performing and creating with others.
The successful inauguration of this vibrant event was the product of many hours of hard work by the student coordinators who admired the event and appreciated everything the student coordinators worked towards to maximize this event.. Dr. S. S. Shani, Assistant Director of Student Affairs, was there to mentor the coordinators throughout this elegant yet chaotic schedule. With true support from the faculty coordinators, Ms. Bhagyashree Mishra (Dance Club,), Mr. Kiran V. T. (Vocal Club,), and Mr. Daniel V. Obviously, Mr. Daniel V. served as the faculty coordinator for all three clubs, and directed each team to not only work separately but collaboratively, thereby enabling closeness of ideas and shared planning. Their overall team work not only manifested excellence at the opening day, but showed a significant level of commitment, success, and importantly encouragement to the students across the university, to participate in cultural activities.
