2nd Session by ACCC on “Self-Assessment and Career Exploration
On July 31, 2024, the Apollo Career Counselling Cell (ACCC) of Apollo University hosted its second career counselling session titled “Self-Assessment and Career Exploration.” The session was led by Dr. Ramaiah Itumalla, the Chairperson of ACCC, who provided valuable insights into the process of self-assessment for students. Dr. Itumalla emphasized the importance of identifying personal strengths and areas for improvement. He introduced students to key concepts such as personal SWOT analysis and the Johari Window model, using real-life examples to illustrate these ideas.
The session also featured a panel discussion with Faculty Placement Coordinators, focusing on career exploration tailored to the students’ specific areas of study and specialization. This discussion offered practical advice and guidance on navigating various career paths.
The event saw the participation of over 110 students from diverse disciplines, including Engineering, Health Management, BBA, MPH, and MSc Health Psychology. The engaging session aimed to equip these students with the tools and knowledge needed to effectively navigate their career paths and make informed decisions about their future.
