‘Xtasy–2025’ Showcases Talent and Spirit of Young Medicos

Grand annual cultural festival celebrated at AIMSR, Chittoor Chittoor, November 22: The Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (AIMSR), Chittoor, celebrated its annual cultural festival ‘Xtasy–2025’ with great enthusiasm, colour, and artistic vibrancy. The two–day festival transformed the campus into a lively cultural arena, bringing together music, dance, creativity, and student energy. Amid the demanding academic schedules of medical education, the festival offered students a vibrant platform to showcase their talents and express their artistic abilities. The celebrations commenced with a welcome address by Dr. C. Sravana Deepthi, Student Affairs Officer, followed by the presence of distinguished guests from the fields of education and healthcare who appreciated the students’ performances and spirit. Delivering the keynote address at the awards ceremony, Prof. M. Potharaju, Registrar, The Apollo University, praised the students for their creativity and active participation. He highlighted that cultural events play a crucial role in personality development, confidence-building, and creating cherished memories for life. He emphasized the importance of nurturing multiple skills along with academics for future medical professionals. Mr. Ramakrishnan (Ramky), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Apollo Hospitals, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Addressing the students, he described the medical profession as a challenging yet profoundly noble service to society. “A doctor does not merely perform a job; every day, they engage in the sacred act of saving lives,” he said. He encouraged students to remember the essence of “ECG – Energy of the Body, Clarity of Mind, and Gratitude at Heart” in their journey as future doctors. The cultural performances were a major highlight of the festival. Students presented an array of traditional and folk dances, classical and contemporary music, and creative stage acts. The vibrant attire, diverse art forms, and energetic performances reflected India’s rich cultural heritage and transformed the campus into a festive spectacle. Modern dance sequences, band shows, and innovative acts further showcased the confidence, enthusiasm, and talent of the budding medical professionals. The event was attended by Mr. Amit Tripathi, Finance Controller, Apollo Hospitals Educational and Research Foundation (AHERF); Dr. B.G. Ranganath, Medical Superintendent, Government Hospital Chittoor, Dr. Alfred J. Augustine, Dean, AIMSR, Mr. Naresh Kumar Reddy, COO. Dr. Ramya Ramakrishnan, Associate Dean, Mr. S. Balaraj, Unit Head, and several Heads of Departments.
