Apollo TAR’IGYM-2025 Showcases Young Scientific Talent
Chittoor, Nov. 18: Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (AIMSR), in collaboration with The Apollo University, hosted the annual research and innovation conclave ‘TAR’IGYM–2025’ on Tuesday at Apollo Knowledge City, Murakambattu. The event brought together young researchers, faculty, and innovators on a single platform, showcasing a diverse range of scientific ideas and healthcare solutions. Designed to foster analytical thinking and promote evidence-based inquiry, the conclave underscored the institution’s commitment to strengthening a culture of meaningful research and innovation among students.
Dr. H. Vinod Bhat, Vice-Chancellor of The Apollo University, inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Research forms the cornerstone of any university’s excellence. Publication-driven research not only enhances academic standards but also shapes future-ready scholars. Events like ‘TAR’IGYM–2025’ offer students the right exposure, motivation and collaborative environment essential for impactful research.”
He emphasised that platforms such as this encourage students to exchange ideas, engage in scientific discourse, and identify innovative solutions to real-world challenges. “The posters and hackathon solutions showcased today reflect the promising future of young scientists and their potential to redefine the healthcare ecosystem,” he added.
Apollo Knowledge CEO Shivaramakrishnan V, speaking virtually, said that Apollo Knowledge has been consistently encouraging students to develop new ideas and innovations. He stated that the institution aims to foster a trend-focused mindset among learners while providing a conducive environment for research in medical and allied health sciences.
Earlier, Dr. Usha Adiga, Associate Dean (Research), delivered the welcome address and highlighted the objectives of ‘TAR’IGYM–2025’. She said the festival aims to foster a culture of scientific thinking, promote innovation, and provide a common ground for academic discussion and collaborative learning.
The event featured scientific poster presentations, systematic review and case study posters, and a clinical innovation-based hackathon, all of which drew significant participation. Hundreds of young researchers presented novel ideas, analytical studies, and innovative healthcare solutions, drawing appreciation from faculty and visitors. During the valedictory session held in the evening, winners of the poster and hackathon competitions were awarded certificates and mementoes.
The event was attended by Prof. M. Potharaju, Registrar of The Apollo University, Dr. Alfred J Augustine, Dean of AIMSR; Dr. Ramya Ramakrishnan, Assistant Dean; Dr. Ramya R., Organising Chairperson of ‘TAR’IGYM–2025’, Prof. Dr. Sachidananda Adiga M.N., Head of the Department of Pharmacology; Dr. Dorababu, Professor of Pharmacology from AIMSR Hyderabad; and Dr. Aruna, Clinical Pharmacologist from Tirupati, along with faculty members, research scholars, scientists and students.
