Dr.Shani .S.S did her Post Graduation in Social Work from Loyola College of Social Sciences, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. MPhil and Ph.D. in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, Maharashtra. She qualified NET and JRF in Social Work in the year 2011. She was selected as one of the Indian delegates of the 1st BRICS Youth Summit held in Kazan, Russia, and worked under the theme of Humanitarian Cooperation. She got Marie Curie IRSES Research Fellowship and worked as an Early-Stage Researcher in International Research Staff Exchange Scheme (IRSES) Project at Coventry University, United Kingdom, and Kocaeli University, Turkey, funded by European Union- Civil Engagement in Social Work: Developing Global Models. She has worked in the role of community developer, Project Analyst, Project Associate, and Research Assistant in various Government and Non- Government projects. She started her teaching career in the year 2017. Her area of expertise is Social Work, Community Development, Marriage, Gender and Society.
