The Directorate of Research Organized Workshop on “The Doctoral Journey: Essential Skills from Research to Publication”

The Directorate of Research at The Apollo University successfully organized a workshop titled "The Doctoral Journey: Essential Skills from Research to Publication" on June 27, 2026, at the University campus. Designed to equip research scholars and faculty members with advanced methodologies for high-quality research and indexing in reputed journals, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from research supervisors, departmental heads, deans, and scholars across various disciplines. The workshop was graced by the Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) H. Vinod Bhat, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, along with the Guests of Honour, Prof. (Dr.) Nitin M. Nagarkar, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor-Designate, and Mr. S. Anil Kumar, Registrar. Their esteemed presence reaffirmed the Directorate's commitment to raise an ethics-driven research culture and promote global standards of academic excellence.
In his inaugural address, Prof. (Dr.) H. Vinod Bhat highlighted the critical importance of research integrity, ethical academic practices, and publishing in high-impact international journals, urging scholars to pursue innovative solutions tailored to contemporary societal needs. Prof. (Dr.) Bhat emphasized the rapidly evolving global landscape of doctoral research, advocating for deep interdisciplinary collaboration, robust critical thinking, and continuous learning. The address motivated the participants to fully leverage the university’s expansive research ecosystem and institutional support mechanisms.
The technical sessions featured distinguished academic resource persons who provided actionable guidance for scholarly success. Prof. (Dr.) Nagaraju from the Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, shared valuable insights on research methodology, advanced publication strategies, smart journal selection, and manuscript preparation. This was followed by an in-depth session by Dr. Itumalla Ramaiah, Dean of the School of Management at The Apollo University, who focused on structuring the doctoral journey, cultivating effective scholarly writing, and maintaining research ethics. The workshop concluded with highly interactive Q&A sessions and a formal vote of thanks, serving as a vital platform for firming institutional research competencies of the University.
The workshop was organized under the convenorship of Prof. (Dr.) K. Bhaskar Reddy, Dean, AIPS & SOHS, The Apollo University, and coordinated by Dr. G. B. Hima Bindu, Deputy Director – Research, The Apollo University, whose dedicated efforts ensured the successful planning and execution of the programme. The session was also attended by the Deans of various faculties, research supervisors and research scholars of TAU whose presence encouraged the directorate’s effort in building a culture of academic excellence across disciplines.
