The Apollo Knowledge City Unveils its First Campus Newsletter, The Apollo Campus Cornet
The Apollo Knowledge City proudly launched its first-ever campus newsletter, The Apollo Campus Cornet (ACC), in an inspiring event held on Freshers’ Day at 6:00 PM on the Campus Grounds. This inaugural edition marks a new chapter in connecting the Apollo Knowledge City community by highlighting the university’s achievements and sharing the journey of bringing this landmark publication to life.
The newsletter, designed as a dynamic platform for student creativity and expression, celebrates the vibrant learning environment at Apollo Knowledge City. The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Dr. H. Vinod Bhat, had the honor of releasing the newsletter, in the presence of a distinguished lineup of university leaders, including Registrar and ACC Chairman, Prof. M Potharaju; Dean i/c, School of Management, Dr. Ramaiah Itumalla, Associate Dean, School of Technology, Dr D. Jagadeesan and representatives from the Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (AIMSR), College of Nursing, and College of Physiotherapy. Also gracing the occasion were Dr. K. Bhaskar Reddy, Co-Chairman of ACC and Dean of the Apollo Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr. Iliyas Ali Shaik, Chief Editor of ACC and Assistant Professor at the School of Technology, and Dr. S. Feroz Begum and Dr. Keerthana Thankachan, who served as editors for this student-driven publication.
The Apollo Campus Cornet stands out as a true showcase of student talent, with over 70% of its content contributed directly by students. This inaugural issue features a variety of creative works, including articles, stories, poems, and interactive segments, brought to life by the student design team: Mr. K Yugavardhan, Mr. M Dhrona Reddy, Mr. M Keerthi Vardhan, and Mr. Shaik Nihal.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. H Vinod Bhat commended the newsletter as a reflection of The Apollo Knowledge City’s commitment to fostering a vibrant, student-centered environment. He emphasized that The Apollo Campus Cornet is more than just a newsletter—it’s a platform that amplifies student voices and unifies the campus community by showcasing their diverse talents.
Registrar and ACC Chairman Prof. M Potharaju expressed pride in the collaborative effort that transformed ACC from concept to reality, embodying the spirit and creativity of Apollo students.
