Shri Naveen Kumar, IAS, Engages with Students on Universal Health Coverage Day at TAU
The School of Management at The Apollo University celebrated Universal Health Coverage Day with an inspiring session held at Lecture Hall 3. The event, which began at 10:00 AM, featured Shri Naveen Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Irrigation and Water Resources, Government of Uttar Pradesh, as the Chief Guest.
In his keynote address, Shri Naveen Kumar underlined the fundamental principles and vision behind Universal Health Coverage (UHC), illustrating its significance in ensuring accessible and affordable healthcare for all. He shed light on the transformative impact of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY). The tone for the session was set by Dr. Prabakar K., Visiting Professor at The Apollo University, SoM, who provided a comprehensive overview of UHC statistics and the efforts by Indian and global administrators to strengthen healthcare systems over the years. In his address, Dr. Prabakar K. emphasized the critical role of effective management practices in reshuffling healthcare services and ensuring equitable access to quality care.
