Guest Lecture on The Future of IT Industry and Ways to Succeed in Placement Interviews at Apollo University
The School of Technology at Apollo University recently hosted an insightful Guest Lecture titled The Future of IT Industry and Ways to Succeed in Placement Interviews aimed at equipping Third-year B.Tech students with the essential knowledge and skills for a successful career in the IT sector. The event took place on 29th July, 2024 and featured a presentation by Mr. Pankaj Kumar Sinha, Manager, HR @Ebix Technologies Pvt. Ltd. a renowned expert in the field.
The Session was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Dr. C. Sunil Kumar, Dean, School of Technology, and Dr. Ramaiah Itumala, Dean, School of Management, Mr. T. Venkatesan Placement Officer who addressed the audience before the main session.
Mr. Pankaj Kumar Sinha’s presentation covered essential topics, including business etiquette, effective communication techniques, an overview of IT projects, and the stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Additionally, he provided insights into crucial job profiles, resume-building tips, and the types of interview rounds freshers can expect.
The workshop also emphasized the importance of key professional skills and offered strategies for gaining a competitive edge, such as obtaining certifications, gaining relevant internship experience, and staying updated with the latest technologies.
Interactive sessions and engaging discussions allowed participants to gain a deeper understanding of the industry and the skills required to thrive in it.
