Apollo University Hosts a guest talk on Birds and Birdwatching Led by Birdman Karthik
“Vihangam” birds and birdwatching program (April 13, 2024) was organized by the Apollo University Photography, Trekking, Eco, and Social Responsibility Clubs. The program was led by renowned birdwatcher Birdman Karthik and was attended by around 200 students. Birdman Karthik discussed the importance of birds in the ecosystem, highlighting their role in seed dispersal, pollination, and insect control. He also spoke about the benefits of birdwatching, including its ability to improve mental and physical health, reduce stress, and connect people with nature.
“Birds are essential to the health of our planet,” said Birdman Karthik. “Birdwatching is a great way to learn about birds and their role in the environment. It’s also a fun and relaxing activity that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.”
