COURSE OVERVIEW
The Apollo University, situated in Chittoor, Andhrapradesh, offers a two-year MPH Program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to tackle the healthcare challenges facing the country. Upon completion of the program, students will become proficient in conducting health research, developing health policy and organizing health systems to improve the health of individuals and the nation.
Our collaboration with the public health community enables us to provide an outstanding Master of Public Health curriculum, which produces future public health leaders. Our comprehensive curriculum covers various areas of expertise, including Biostatistics, Public Health Informatics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Social determinants of health, nutrition, health services research and policy, food safety, and infectious/zoonotic illnesses.
Furthermore, we offer two major specialties with a choice-based credit system, allowing students to choose according to their interests and requirements.
Program Objectives
- To provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of public health, including the determinants of health, epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health, and health policy.
- To equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct research and evaluate the effectiveness of public health programs and policies.
- To develop student’s abilities to design and implement evidence-based interventions that address public health challenges, such as communicable and non- communicable diseases, health inequities, and environmental health risks.
- To prepare students to assume leadership roles in public health organizations and effectively manage public health programs and systems.
- To emphasize the importance of community engagement and partnership in addressing public health challenges and promoting health equity.

Eligibility
Bachelor degree in Health Sciences/ Life Sciences/ Social Sciences from a recognized University with at least 50% aggregate marks.
EMPLOYABILITY AREAS
Upon program completion, students will be equipped to work in various health organizations in Government, Non-government, International Organizations and academic institutions, with opportunities ranging from administrative and managerial positions to research-oriented roles. The program emphasizes field experience and research, requiring students to work in the field during the second and fourth semesters.
