The School of Management (SOM) focuses on instilling students with the right approach to solving organizational challenges. It amalgamates theoretical and practical learning with a global outlook. As a result, students are prepared with key skills such as critical reasoning, project management, and business communication.
The School of Management promotes experiential learning by engaging students in course assignments, case studies, industrial internships, and live workshops. Moreover, our world-class instructors, with a rich industry-academia background, help students evolve as tomorrow’s global leaders.

I am delighted to welcome you all to the School of Management (SoM), The Apollo University (TAU), Chittoor, A.P. As Dean of the School, I am extremely proud of the rich tradition of providing practical, experiential-based hospital and healthcare management education that our school has upheld since its founding. Our business programs are developing the next generation of healthcare and business leaders to build a healthier and more equitable society for the benefit of mankind.
Being a Millennial (Gen – Y) healthcare teacher and researcher, I am pleased to see a rise in the number of Gen – Y and Gen – Z healthcare professionals and more employment opportunities in healthcare sector. As our visionary Chairman of Apollo Hospitals Dr. Prathap C Reddy, the architect of modern healthcare in India stated “Indian healthcare will be a big jobs generator like IT…and India has the potential to become a global healthcare destination due to good outcomes, care and compassion”. It is widely recognized that hospitals and health care professionals play an important role in managing health care organizations today. This has been proven before and after the outbreak of the COVID-19. A great deal of effort was made by hospital and healthcare management professionals to combat the pandemic of COVID-19 along with the other professionals. Hospital and healthcare managers will play a key role in the effective and efficient management of health care organizations and institutions in the future, and this will be crucial for the management of the health care system.
The School of Management has developed program syllabi that blend fundamental concepts with industry requirements, ensuring students are prepared for the industry upon completion of their studies. The School promotes a unique synergy between teaching and research, cultivating extensive national and international partnerships and collaborations.
