Dr. Preetha Reddy serves as the Chancellor of The Apollo University and is the Executive Vice Chairperson of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited. A visionary healthcare leader, she has been instrumental in advancing accessible, high-quality healthcare, academic excellence, and research-driven innovation across the Apollo ecosystem. As the Managing Trustee of the Apollo Hospitals Educational Trust, she has played a pivotal role in shaping healthcare education and nurturing future-ready healthcare professionals. With decades of leadership experience, she has contributed significantly to healthcare policy, quality standards, and institutional development, while serving on several national and international healthcare bodies. Recognized with numerous prestigious honours for her contributions to healthcare and society, Dr. Preetha Reddy continues to inspire Apollo’s mission of transforming healthcare through excellence in patient care, education, research, and innovation.

A distinguished academic leader, healthcare administrator, and clinician with over three decades of experience, he brings a proven track record in institution building, academic excellence, and research leadership. In his role, Dr. Nagarkar will provide strategic direction across academics, administration, research, collaborations, and student success, driving the University’s vision of excellence in higher education and healthcare. Prior to joining The Apollo University, he served as the Founder Director of AIIMS Raipur and most recently as Pro Vice Chancellor & Dean – Medical at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. With more than 150 research publications, multiple patents, books, and national-level leadership appointments, Dr. Nagarkar’s appointment marks a significant milestone in strengthening The Apollo University’s journey towards innovation, research excellence, and global academic distinction.

Mr. Anil Kumar S is a distinguished higher education administrator with over two decades of leadership experience in academic governance, statutory compliance, university administration, and institution building. He currently serves as the Registrar of The Apollo University, Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, where he plays a strategic role in strengthening governance systems, regulatory compliance, and institutional operations.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Anil Kumar has established himself as a key contributor to the development and operationalization of private universities in India. As a core member of the founding leadership teams of multiple institutions, he has successfully conceptualized and operationalized four private universities in Bengaluru, overseeing critical aspects of university establishment and governance.
His expertise spans the complete lifecycle of university development, including drafting and vetting University Statutes, Ordinances, and Regulations; liaison with State Government departments; securing approvals from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and other statutory and regulatory bodies; and constituting key statutory authorities such as the Board of Governors, Board of Management, Academic Council, Research & Innovation Council, Finance Committee, and Boards of Studies.
Mr. Anil Kumar has held senior administrative and leadership positions at several reputed institutions, including M.S. Ramaiah University, Amity University, Presidency University, CMR University, Vidyashilp University, and SRM University–AP. In these capacities, he has played a pivotal role in establishing governance frameworks, implementing regulatory-compliant academic policies, and strengthening institutional systems aligned with national higher education standards.
He has successfully coordinated and facilitated more than 60 statutory inspections conducted by regulatory authorities such as UGC, AICTE, BCI, PCI, and other professional councils. His strong regulatory stewardship has ensured timely approvals, accreditations, and continued institutional recognition. He has also contributed significantly to the launch of over 50 academic programs across disciplines including Engineering, Management, Law, Pharmacy, Sciences, and interdisciplinary studies, ensuring full compliance with applicable state and central regulations.
A strong advocate of digital transformation in higher education administration, Mr. Anil Kumar has led ERP implementation initiatives across five universities. His leadership in digitizing admissions, examinations, student lifecycle management, finance integration, and statutory reporting has enhanced operational efficiency, transparency, data integrity, and regulatory reporting accuracy, while enabling data-driven decision-making across institutions.
Mr. Anil Kumar completed his Postgraduate degree, M.Sc. (Engg.) in Real Time Embedded Systems, from Coventry University, United Kingdom. He combines international academic exposure with extensive experience in the Indian higher education regulatory ecosystem.
Known for his transparency, process-oriented approach, and commitment to quality assurance, Mr. Anil Kumar is widely respected for his regulatory acumen, strategic foresight, and ability to translate policy into effective institutional practice. His leadership continues to strengthen institutional credibility, operational excellence, and stakeholder confidence across the higher education sector.
