ECO Inauguration for VIVIDHA -Hub for Clubs, Culture, and Campus Sustainability

The campus saw the start of a new chapter as Vividha—the smashing heart of student activities block—was opened with an exciting and colorful ceremony on Saturday, 05^th of July 2025 at 10:00 AM. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. H. Vinod Bhat cut the ribbon in the gracious presence of Prof. M. Potharaju, the Registrar, The Apollo University. Vividha is to be a centre for clubs and NSS and the Division of Physical Education and has a celebratory spirit, creativity, and campus life. The campus was alive with the energy of students and faculty who were there to see the start of a place, where talent and memories can be created.

Vividha is the vibrant hub of student life, where ideas come alive and talents shine beyond the classroom. It brings together creativity, culture, and collaboration, offering students a dynamic space to explore new interests, express themselves, and build lasting memories.

At the heart of Vividha are three distinct themed halls, each destined to be established as a unique space wherein creativity, talent, and collaboration will flourish:

• Nirmithi— “Where Ideas are Molded.”

A dedicated area for students to construct, create and realize their creative projects. Whether through brainstorming new initiatives for a club, conceptualizing events or practical activities, Nirmithi will be the incubator of new ideas and inventive endeavors.

• Spandan— “Feel the Pulse of Passion.”

A lively area rich with the pulse of dance, music, and creativity. It is where the Dance, Music, Instrument Clubs will light the floor ablaze and invite students to experience the thrill and energy of performing arts, or cultural collaborations inviting the true pulse that beats through the culture of the campus.

• Sankalp— “Where Intent and Action Conjoin.”

The hall of vision and conviction, where the Club students and other student groups will gather to plan, coordinate, and execute events and experiences that will last a lifetime. Where ideas and intentions turn into meaningful actions.

The block also contains the NSS Office and Division of Physical Education, transforming Vividha as the center of student involvement and campus life. These offices will be great hubs of outreach, social action and wellbeing programs, and sport administration that will support the all-around development of every student folks. The entire block will be run, and creatively used by everyone working for the block, with Dr. Shani S. S., Assistant Director of Student Affairs at the helm. Dr. Shani’s insight and vibrant direction will cultivate Vividha into a lively space where students can attempt exciting things, and be, and express themselves, and blossom.

The Event Management Club, under the leadership of the Faculty Coordinator, Ms. Anwesha Paul turned the whole block into a stunning visual treat with colors, art, and decorations for a celebration that showed the beautiful vibgyor of Vividha. The natural beauty around Vividha remains lovingly preserved, thanks to the committed efforts of the Eco Club led by Dr. Firoz Begam, Faculty Supervisor of Eco Club and NSS Unit led by Dr. Dr S. Hemadri Reddy Salla, NSS Programme Coordinator ensuring that progress and sustainability walk hand in hand. The efforts has already began as the NSS and Eco Club also transformed the occasion to a Plantation Drive by planting saplings fitted with QR codes, each reflecting the name and details of the plant species. Both sides of the block were adorned with shade-giving trees and greenery, transforming Vividha into an eco-friendly space that nurtures natural vegetation and stands as a symbol of sustainability at The Apollo University.

Vividha now stands as more than a building—it’s a beacon of energy, talent, and vision, ready to empower students to create, connect, and shine. Here’s to countless events, friendships, and milestones blossoming within its walls!
