TAU’s Republic Day Celebration Brings Together Unity, Pride, and the Spirit of Democracy for a Promising Future.

The Apollo University campus radiated patriotism and pride as it came alive with vibrant celebrations on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from dignitaries, faculty, and students, making it a day to remember in mind.
The program commenced with a cordial gathering at the university flagpole, where the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. H. Vinod Bhat, accompanied by esteemed Registrar, Prof. M. Potharaju, and other dignitaries, including the Dean of Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Deans of the Faculties, Principals’ of Nursing College and Physiotherapy and unfurled the national flag amidst the resonating beats of the National Anthem. The guard of honor was presented by the university’s security team, led by ex-military personnel—Mr. R. Paratha Saradhi Reddy, Head Guard A. Balaraju (CISF), and Head Guard C. P. Reddeppa (BSF)—symbolizing strength, discipline, and unity.
The ceremonial parade added a fabulous touch, featuring seven dynamic platoons representing the Security Guards, NSS Unit, Student Clubs, and all institutions under Apollo Knowledge City, including the Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Apollo College of Nursing, Apollo College of Physiotherapy, and The Apollo University. The march past, filled with synchronized steps and stanch spirit, was received with a rousing salute by the Vice Chancellor, who commended the participants for their dedication and hard work.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. A. Sethuramasubbiah, the Controller of Examinations, delivered an inspiring Republic Day address, emphasizing the significance of the Constitution and the core principles of liberty, equality, and fraternity. He highlighted that these principles not only shape the essence of the nation but also inspire each individual to contribute towards a just, equal, and harmonious society, thereby reflecting the true spirit of Republic Day.
The cultural extravaganza that followed was a dazzling showcase of talent, unity, and patriotism. The cultural events were a vibrant mix of dance, musical, classical, and traditional performances from all the establishments of the Apollo Knowledge City Campus, setting the tone for the festivities. Each performance was a tribute to the rich diversity and talent within the campus community, with students showcasing their creative flair and passionate spirit. The highlight of the cultural program was the awe-inspiring human pyramid formed by the Apollo College of Nursing students. This powerful display of strength and teamwork stood as a vivid metaphor for India’s unity and resilience.
