An Awareness Programme on Fire Safety Measures
In the present day scenario, where fire accidents are common, the increase in the necessity of knowing safety precautions are the need of the hour, The Apollo University Chittoor organised a mock-drill to create awareness on fire safety measures. The mock-drill was organised under the supervision of the security officer Mr. R. Parthasaradhi Reddy on 16. 07.2024 at 11:00 AM in the campus ground.
In this mock-drill, students learned about the types of fire. He explained to us how to use a fire extinguisher and instructed us on how to operate a fire extinguisher. The students actively participated in the event and overall it was a productive session.
Mr. K. Parthasaradhi Reddy instructed us how to reach a safe place in case of fire accident inside the campus and taught us about the do’s and don’ts at the time of the incident.
He instructed us about the emergency fire-water pipelines and how to operate them considering safety precautions. In the smallest 15 faculty’s, 69 students, 5 security staff and 1 transport department staff were present.
