Research to Publication: A Hands-on Case Study Workshop
The Directorate of Research, The Apollo University, organised a two-day workshop titled “Research to Publication: A Hands-on Case Study Workshop” on 21st and 22nd August 2026 at Lecture Hall 3, Admin Block, The Apollo University. The workshop was designed to provide participants with practical exposure to the research-to-publication process, with an emphasis on understanding the various stages involved in converting research work into a structured and publishable scholarly output.
The workshop was inaugurated on 21st August 2026 at 9:30 AM. The inaugural programme was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Nitin Nagarkar, Honourable Vice Chancellor, The Apollo University, as the Chief Guest, Dr. Alfred J. Augustine, Pro Vice Chancellor (Academics), TAU, and Mr. S. Anil Kumar, Registrar, The Apollo University, as the Guests of Honour. The event was also attended by senior academic and administrative leaders of the University, including Prof. (Dr.) Ramya Ramakrishnan, Dean, AIMSR, Chittoor; Prof. (Dr.) K. Bhaskar Reddy, Dean, Apollo Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Dean In-charge, School of Health Sciences; Prof. (Dr.) D. Jagadeesan, Dean, School of Technology; Dr. I. Ramaiah, Dean, School of Management; Dr. T. Jayanti, Principal, Apollo College of Nursing.
The workshop was led by Ms. Pooja Singh, Scientist, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), as the resource person. The sessions were structured around a hands-on case-study approach, enabling participants to gain practical insights into the process of developing research work towards publication. The programme provided an academic platform for faculty and researchers to engage with publication-oriented practices and to strengthen their understanding of the research dissemination process.
The sessions were conducted in two slots, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on both days. The workshop encouraged active engagement and provided an opportunity for participants to interact with the resource person and gain practical perspectives relevant to their research and publication activities. The programme was convened by Prof. K. Bhaskar Reddy, Dean, AIPS & SOHS, The Apollo University, and coordinated by Dr. Usha S. Adiga, (Hon.) Director, and Dr. G. B. Hima Bindu, Deputy Director, Directorate of Research, The Apollo University. The presence and participation of the University's senior leadership and academic heads reflected the University's continued emphasis on strengthening its research ecosystem and promoting quality research and scholarly publication. The workshop concluded with a positive academic engagement, providing participants with practical exposure to the research-to-publication journey and reinforcing the importance of systematic research practices and effective scholarly dissemination.
