Faculty Development Vital to Quality Teaching, says Dean Dr. Alfred J. Augustine

AIMSR conducts workshop on ‘Blueprinting in Health Professionals’ Education’ Chittoor, October 31: The Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (AIMSR), Chittoor, organized a workshop on “Blueprinting in Health Professionals’ Education” on Friday as part of its Faculty Development Programme (FDP), focusing on enhancing quality and innovation in medical teaching. Dr. Alfred J. Augustine, Dean, AIMSR, inaugurated the session and highlighted the importance of faculty development in advancing educational excellence. “The growth of any academic institution depends on the skills and creativity of its faculty. Continuous training refines teaching methods, boosts confidence, and improves the overall learning experience,” he said. Dr. Sachidananda Adiga, resource faculty for the session, explained that blueprinting acts as a structured and scientific approach to aligning teaching objectives with assessment strategies. “Blueprinting ensures clarity, consistency, and quality in medical education,” he added. The workshop was attended by Associate Deans Dr. Ramya Ramakrishnan and Dr. Usha Adiga, along with faculty members from various departments.
