Programme overview:

The Pharm.D. (Doctor of Pharmacy) programme at The Apollo University is a 6-year professional clinical doctorate designed to develop competent clinical pharmacists capable of providing evidence-based pharmaceutical care. The curriculum is PCI-approved and integrates pharmaceutical sciences with advanced clinical training. Students undergo continuous clinical postings at Apollo Hospitals, gaining skills in patient counselling, medication therapy management, pharmacovigilance, and clinical decision-making. The programme emphasizes therapeutics, biostatistics, research methodology, and interdisciplinary learning. A one-year rotational internship across specialties prepares graduates for careers in clinical pharmacy, drug safety, clinical research, hospital pharmacy, and digital health. The university has signed an MoU with Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences & Research – District Headquarters Hospital, which provides an assured and structured clinical training environment, ensuring students have consistent, supervised access to real patients and clinical cases throughout the duration of the programme. This partnership underscores the university’s commitment to experiential, practice-ready pharmacy education rooted in a world-class clinical ecosystem.
