Students of The Apollo University Raise Cleanliness Awareness Through Flash Mob
As part of the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, and The Apollo University Cleanliness week, students of The Apollo University, Chittoor brought a wave of energy and awareness to the community through a vibrant flash mob at Children’s Park, Chittoor, on 03rd October 2025, evening. The event was organized under the aegis of the NSS Unit of the university, in collaboration with the university’s Dance Club, with the aim of promoting cleanliness, community responsibility, and environmental consciousness among the public.
The lively and rhythmic flash mob drew a large crowd, capturing the attention of locals, children, and families who enthusiastically joined in the awareness campaign. Through an expressive blend of songs, dance, and creative performances, the students powerfully conveyed the message of cleanliness and civic responsibility. Their slogan, “Cleanliness is the path to health,” resonated across the park, inspiring onlookers to adopt cleanliness as a shared social commitment.
The performance highlighted the importance of individual action in maintaining hygiene and environmental sustainability. The students urged the community to take ownership of their surroundings and contribute actively to creating a cleaner, greener Chittoor.
The initiative was coordinated by faculty members Mr. Daniel V. and Ms. Bhagyasree Mishra, Faculty coordinators of Dance Club and Arts and Cultural Club and supervised by NSS Programme coordinator Mr. Hemadri Reddy and NSS Programme fficer Ms. A. Gayathri, who ensured the smooth execution of the event. Their hard work in channeling the students’ creativity into a socially meaningful cause were widely appreciated. The energetic presentation received overwhelming applause from the public for its innovative approach to spreading awareness.
The celebration of cleanliness was aimed to nurture socially responsible citizens who contribute to both community well-being and environment preservation. The flash mob was a shining example that aimed at community engagement in pursuit of a cleaner and more compassionate world.
