Clubs for Culture and Creativity: A Landmark Step in Student Engagement at TAU
The Apollo University came alive with hues of creativity and the rhythm of artistic expression, as the university proudly unveiled three dynamic wings under its Arts and Cultural Club — the Fine Arts Club, the Craft Club, and the Theatre & Drama Club.
The occasion was graced by the august presence of Prof. Dr. H. Vinod Bhat, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, The Apollo University, who presided as the Chief Guest, and Prof. M. Potharaju, Registrar, The Apollo University, who adorned the dais as the Guest of Honor. Their arrival was marked by a heartfelt gesture from the students of the Craft Club, who offered handcrafted bouquets — a symbol of sincerity, artistry, and warmth that set the tone for the day’s celebration.
The air soon resonated with the vibrancy of student talent. The Theatre & Drama Club enthralled the gathering with a powerfully enacted skit that was not merely a performance but a stirring reflection of imagination, collaboration, and social thought. The Fine Arts Club left an indelible impression by presenting a beautifully crafted pencil sketch portrait of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, an artistic tribute that embodied admiration and respect in strokes of graphite and shading.
A defining moment of the ceremony was the unveiling of the logos of the three clubs — emblems that now stand as symbols of creativity, innovation, and passion, guiding the cultural pursuits of the university into a new era.
In his inspiring address, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. H. Vinod Bhat, lauded the efforts of the students and faculty in nurturing these clubs. He reflected on the transformative power of the arts, reminding the audience that while science and technology build the body of knowledge, art nurtures the soul, refines sensibilities, and shapes the human spirit. He encouraged the students to embrace these platforms not just as avenues of expression but as sanctuaries of imagination and leadership, where creativity becomes a force for personal growth and societal enrichment. His words ignited a spark of motivation among the young talents, urging them to weave art into the fabric of their academic journey.
The Registrar, Prof. M. Potharaju, with his presence, echoed the importance of balancing academic rigor with creative exploration, and praised the students for their enthusiasm in shaping a vibrant cultural landscape within the campus.
The seamless coordination of the event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the organizing team including the SC’s, FC’s and FS:

The clubs will function under the dedicated guidance of the Faculty Supervisor, Mr. V. Daniel, Assistant Professor, SoSS, ensuring their smooth operation and active engagement. Further, they will be nurtured, supervised, and strategically guided by the Directorate of Student Affairs, The Apollo University, under the leadership of Dr. S. S.
