The Apollo University Welcomes Its New Batch with Prarambh 2025 Celebrations

The Apollo University campus glowed with youthful enthusiasm and cultural vibrance as the much-awaited Freshers’ Day 2025 – Prarambh spread-out on 6th September at the Apollo Knowledge City Ground. The evening commenced at 6:00 PM with an expressive Welcome Dance evoked the spirit of tradition and devotion. Their performance was a “visual prayer” that set the stage for an evening that promised elegance, energy, and liveliness.

In his Freshers’ Day Address, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. H. Vinod Bhat welcomed the new students with words of wisdom, urging them to nurture curiosity, courage, and creativity during their academic journey. His message highlighted that TAU is not merely a place of learning, but a vibrant ecosystem that shapes leaders of tomorrow. He emphasized that university life is a transformative journey where curiosity should fuel knowledge, courage should embrace challenges, and compassion should guide leadership.

Registrar, Prof. M. Potharaju was specially acknowledged for his constant support in facilitating student-driven initiatives and ensuring the smooth conduct of academic and cultural events. The Deans of various schools graced the occasion, not only encouraging the new students with their presence but also celebrating the talents displayed on stage, reflecting their commitment to fostering an inclusive and encouraging academic environment.

A proud moment followed with the release of “Club Chronicle – Volume II”, a digital compendium capturing the vibrancy of 28 active student clubs. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, joined by dignitaries, unveiled the Chronicle amidst applause, inspiring freshers to actively engage in student-led initiatives and contribute to the University’s rich legacy of innovation and creativity. The seamless conduct of the release of the digital copy of Club Chronicle was credited to the Directorate of Student Affairs, and Directorate of Press and Publications whose tireless efforts ensured flawless coordination across the days of collection, execution and publishing of the data.

The evening sparkled with recognition as prizes were awarded to winners of pre-events and competitions. The crowning of Mr. Fresher and Ms. Fresher was the most awaited moment. The titles, adorned with much excitement and cheer, symbolized not just charm but also the promise of leadership and confidence among the new entrants.

After the official programe, the stage exploded with color, music, and rhythm as 22 cultural performances unfolded. Each act reflected the diversity and creative brilliance of the University’s students. Highlights included: Tribal Dance –that showcases India’s folk heritage, Dance Drama –the emotional retelling of Panchali’s cries and Krishna’s divine intervention from the Mahabharata, a performance that moved the audience to thunderous applause, Violin Performance– a mesmerizing musical interlude and Energetic Group Dances –that blends style and synchronization.

Their leadership, supported by committee chairpersons and convenors, provided the platform for students to showcase the true spirit of Freshers’ Day. Acknowledge also goes to the faculties of cultural and event management coordinators: Ms. Anwesha Paul, Faculty, School of Health Sciences & Faculty Coordinator, Event Management Club ensures that the agenda is executed and the stage arreangements were perfectly reflecting the spirit of the day. Mr. V. Daniel, Faculty, School of Health Sciences & Faculty Supervisor, Arts and Cultural Club along with Ms. Bhagyasree Mishra, Faculty, School of Health Sciences & Faculty Coordinator, Dance Club, curated the magnificent lineup of performances and brought cultural brilliance to life. Special appreciation also goes to the media and the photography club of the university in documenting and covering the events of the night.

Every performance was unique in flavor and finesse, making it truly difficult to pick a single highlight. The evening became a kaleidoscope of artistry, with every act described as “the best of its kind. As the curtain fell on Freshers’ Day 2025, the event left behind a trail of memories—of laughter, cheers, applause, and the joy of new beginnings.
